This page explains who writes the articles on this site, what standards they are held to, and how to get something corrected. Last reviewed July 25, 2026 by Aldo Giammusso.

Who writes here

Articles on the AldoMedia blog are written by Aldo Giammusso, who founded AldoMedia in 1999 and still runs it. There is no anonymous content-farm byline behind the posts, and there is no guest-post programme: we do not accept paid guest articles or link insertions.

What we aim for

• First-hand where possible. The most useful thing we can offer is what actually happened on real client websites: what a hosting migration broke, what an accessibility fix changed, what moved a local ranking. Articles lean on that work rather than on rewriting other people's articles.
• Sourced where it is not first-hand. When an article depends on a fact from outside our own work, such as a standard, a statute, a platform's documentation or a published figure, the aim is to say where that came from so you can check it yourself.
• Clear about uncertainty. Search behaviour changes constantly and a lot of SEO advice is inference rather than fact. Where we are reasoning from observation rather than something documented, we try to say so instead of asserting it flatly.
• Honest about limits. We are a website design and technology company. We are not lawyers, and we are not certified accessibility professionals. Articles and tools touching accessibility law or website legal risk are general information written from practical experience, not legal advice.

Commercial relationships

Some articles contain affiliate links, most often to Amazon, where we earn a commission if you buy. Those links are marked as sponsored in the page's HTML, and an affiliate relationship never decides whether we recommend something. Articles about our own services are clearly about our own services.

AI assistance

Where an AI tool helps with drafting, research or editing, the article is still reviewed and edited by a person before it goes live, and the accuracy of what it says remains our responsibility. We do not publish machine-generated articles that nobody has read.

Updates and dates

We update articles when the underlying facts change, and we would rather substantially rewrite an outdated post than leave it standing. We do not bump publication dates simply to make old content look fresh. Where a page carries a "last reviewed" line, that date means a person actually checked it.

Corrections

If you find a factual error on this site, in an article or in one of our free tools, please tell us. Contact us with the page URL and what you believe is wrong.

How we handle it:

• Plain factual mistakes are corrected on the page.
• If a correction changes the substance of what an article claimed, we say so on the page rather than editing quietly.
• Typos, broken links and formatting problems are simply fixed.
• If a scanning tool misreports a check on your site, that is treated as a bug in the tool, not just a page edit.

We would rather hear about a mistake from you than leave it published.
